Dining...With Style!

Ahhh, “dinner is served,” with style! Last week, I visited Arroyo Chop House in Pasadena for dinner with my father. It was my first time dining at Arroyo, but my father has eaten there a few times before. On one of those occasions, with a former owner of the San Antonio Spurs. Needless to say, I expected a first-class dining experience, which I did receive!

With its dark mahogany walls and art-deco inspired murals, the Arroyo Chop House is the perfect restaurant at which to enjoy a romantic date or to celebrate a special occasion. The menu features a half dozen cuts of meat to choose from, including a filet mignon that will absolutely melt in your mouth and a porterhouse that is extremely flavorful.

We began the meal with a basket of warm garlic bread, followed by a spinach and pear salad garnished with candied walnuts. I wasn’t particularly in the mood for beef that evening, so I opted to try the Alaskan King Crab Legs, and my dad ordered the Porterhouse steak. To conclude this fabulous meal, we shared the famous Chocolate Souffle. Everything was delicious, and the service was top-notch!
